So over the course of the last few weeks my Facebook profile has been getting pounded by a sponsored ad about a new system called the RVM Lead Machine.
The RVM Lead Machine is a Ringless Voicemail Software platform that is being sold for a pretty hefty sum of $797 a year.
It was created by a guy named Sean Terry with a company called Flip 2 Freedom. He says that he’s been doing real estate wholesaling for over 15 years.
What is Ringless Voicemail
In case you didn’t know, Ringless Voicemail is a method of communicating with cell phones that leaves a pre-recorded message without the phone ever ringing.
So far it’s been fully compliant with the FTC because it’s not an actual phone call per se, but instead just two computers communicating with one another.
This particular method of advertising has been very popular because it helps you generate leads for as low as 2 cents per lead.
The RVM Lead Machine says they can get you leads for five cents per lead, so that leads me to believe that they are probably charging people five cents per ringless voicemail drop.
That’s too much…
The actual cost per voicemail drop varies depending on which particular service you use, but the price has been known to range from 2.6 to 10 cents per RVM drop.
This fluctuation in price may seem insignificant at first, but once you start marketing to thousands of leads the cost can add up pretty quick.
The only people paying more than 5 cents per drop are those who simply don’t know any better.
Why Use Ringless Voicemail Drops
You can never have too many marketing tools to get more leads and sales. Ringless Voicemail helps you to reach a large number of people at a low cost.
In comparison to direct mail and pay-per-click advertising you're saving a ton using RVM. Some people even say that voicemail has a 92% listen rate.
So the number one factor to your success with Ringless Voicemail Software is not necessarily the leads you're using (although that is important) but the message you leave.
You want to leave a voicemail message that is both compelling and concise. Meaning you need to leave a distinct call to action so that your prospect knows exactly what you want them to do.
If you want them to call you back you need to tell them. If you want them to visit your website then you'll say, "go to ABC.com immediately to learn more."
Do I Need The RVM Lead Machine
Now being completely transparent with you I'll say this, if you're not into wholesaling real estate you probably don't need the RVM Lead Machine.
There are plenty of ringless voicemail platforms out there to use. I can't see why anyone would pay $749 per year unless the RVM Lead Machine real estate training is just that good.
Now am I saying that their tool isn't good, no.
But if you only want a ringless voicemail software then I have a more cost effective solution available for you here.
The Good...
If you're into real estate wholesaling there may be some good training available to you through this program. I still don't know if that justifies the $749/year price tag, but there's definitely money to be made wholesaling real estate if you know what you're doing.
The Bad...
The RVM Lead Machine costs too much.
If the training was centered more around finding motivated sellers then maybe the price would be easier to justify. But as far as using a ringless voicemail solution goes, it just costs too much.
The Ugly...
There's plenty of training online (particularly YouTube) to learn wholesaling. If you use it, you probably won't have to pay $749 per year to learn the ins and outs of Ringless Voicemail.
I don't have anything "ugly" to say about the system itself, but the software is not worth the price tag. All you need is a quality lead source and you should be in business.
