Okay for those of you reading this post, this may not be of great importance to you if you aren’t involved in internet markeing. However, for those of us who have been spending our precious time making videos only to have our accounts suspended without any explanation it’s extremely frustrating to say the least.
I love the internet…. literally! If I had to choose between going out and drinking beer with my buddies or staying home and learning some new methods of making money online I’d choose to stay home any day!
Anyway, apparently YouTube has started to crack down on people who are promoting MLM companies on YouTube. It may even be anything that has to do with making money online I don’t know… All I know is that I have 2 buddies who both had over 200 videos on their accounts who’s accounts were shut down without any explanation other than the fact that they so called violated the terms of use!
Don’t get me wrong, YouTube is still the place to be if you want to learn something new, like how to do something, or find a funny video you just watched on TV, but if you’re using YouTube for your internet marketing purposes you better use it smartly…. or you too could become the next victim of the “YouTube Slap!’
The YouTube slap is what they call it when YouTube mysteriously shuts down a persons entire account without warning… or explanation! Many internet marketers make over 90% of their money from the promotions that they’ve ran on YouTube. Can you imagine you’ve been making $10,000 per month from the traffic you get from your YouTube videos only to discover that you ENTIRE account has been shut down because they “claim” you’ve violated the terms of service!
There are thousands of video sharing sites out there on the web… I’m sure many of them would be happy to have your business and host your videos there. Although, after seeing first hand what’s happened with YouTube it makes me wonder about how safe it truly is to invest your time into video marketing sites and have all your material disappear in the blink of an eye?
My advice to you, if you are using YouTube…. make sure you read the terms of use extremely thoroughly, and even then I would be sure to have some sort of back up plan!
Until Next Time….
Stay Sober My Friends! LOL
