Here recently I’ve been thinking a lot about the future. The funny thing about the future is that it is a reflection of what you are doing today. In order for us to take advantage of our future we need to be aware of which season we are in. There is always going to be a season for sowing seeds and a season for reaping your harvest.
If you are not in a harvest right now that just simply means that you have not sown enough seed. Just like the parable in the bible says, sometimes your seed will not always land on good ground. Sometimes your seed may land on concrete instead of the soil. Other times your seed may land in good soil but the birds might eat it all before you actually get to harvest.
In this scenario the birds could be recognized as what some people like to call “haters” or maybe “dream stealers”. Regardless of the lingo in which you choose to determine who they are, you need to avoid people who want to ruin your plans.
Negativity is a virus, it is always looking to consume whatever it can until there is nothing left for it to consume. A business partner of mine that I am currently working with has been emphasizing the importance of the seasons. He said that in 90 days (the typical length of a season) a person can accomplish almost anything.
We just have to start with the end in mind and work backwards. You have be able to actual see yourself where you want to be and then plan backwards, thinking of whatever it is that it will get you to your ultimate goal.
The new year is in less than two weeks and it will be 2012. Why not start this new ‘season’ off with a 90 days goal? Nobody can determine the goal but you, but you can do some amazing things in the next 90 days if you put your mind to it. My goal is to be earning a residual income of 10k per month by April 1st 2012.
If I hit my goal then that just shows that what my mentor taught me actually works. If I don’t hit the goal, if I take the necessary steps that I need to get there then that means I should be that much closer to attaining it.
I personally believe that we as a people (human beings) can accomplish anything that we put our minds to. Unfortunately, what I believe will only dictate what happens for me. In order for you to accomplish what you want means that YOU have to BELIEVE in you!
