Everyone wants success in network marketing or they wouldn’t have joined… duh. However, there are many skills that need to be gained by a potential rockstar in the industry if you want to take it to that level. You see personally, I can’t understand why everyone is not in network marketing… Of course it’s not easy, but it is simple… and after you master the skills necessary to go to the top there’s no looking back!
You see in networking many people think that you have to force people to buy things that they don’t want, use hard close techniques like some used car salesman, and pester your friends and family into the business to get ahead. While this is anything but the truth… there is but one skill that is really required to make a butt load of money in MLM… Getting people to attend events!
Now please don’t get this confused with the hotel meetings, PBR’s, tasting parties, or whatever they call them in your particular company. You see today with the technology that we have all you really need to do is get someone to your website. The question is, can you actually get them there?
If you can master this one basic skill…. getting people to events. You will be able to make more money in network marketing than you have ever made in your life. Now for many of you with experience in this field, you know already that this seems to be the hardest thing you can possibly do in this business.
You call up your prospect and ask them if they went to your website and they respond with things like these:
- I forgot all about it… what’s that website again.
- I had to take my dog to get put down
- My daughter had a severe case of pink eye
- I had to work late
- I was beating my dog
On and on I could go…. so your true challenge is in finding the means of getting them to show up. Understand, if your company is legitimate and you have quality products your prospects will realize this when they see your opportunity. Although if they never see it what do you think your chances are of enrolling them into your business.
The same people that tell you that they hate sales are actually selling you on why they won’t show up for your meetings, or your webinars, your website presentations, so on and so forth. You have to not buy into their excuses, because in all situations someone is selling and someone is buying. Are you going to allow someone to sell you on why they can’t listen to a 30 minute video that could possibly change their life forever? Or are you going to sell them on why if they don’t watch that 30 minute video that it could be the worst mistake they’ve ever made in their lives?
