Okay so who’s this David Wood guy? Well as far as I know David Wood is one of the best internet/network marketers on the internet. Now I could give you a bunch of crap about where he was born and what year he ever bought his first PC with the first Windows operating system but I could care less, and I’m sure you probably don’t care much yourself.
Here’s what I DO know about David Wood. He has actually been around the network marketing arena for many years. According to my research he’s actually been in Network Marketing for close to 10 years give or take.
He originally got started in Amway, on a UStream video I recently viewed of his he made it clear that he built a small organization in Amway and could never actually get his check up to the level that he really wanted to. So after a short stay in Amway he decided to move on to a new company. This new company was Pre-Paid Legal.
Now David mentions that in his first opportunity he asked his upline mentors what he had to do in order to get to the money in Amway. He was told the same thing in Pre-Paid Legal that he was told by his upline in Amway: Go out, build a list… contact everybody on your list… sign them up.
Now due to the fact that David Wood was not the most influential person is his town, everytime that he built his list his list was full of people who had very little money, no ambition, and no desire to get involved in network marketing. (Sound Familiar?)
So he ended up telling his upline that he did not have a good list. From there his upline leaders told him that he needed to get out and meet new people. He said “go out and wander around” to be exact. Now I’m sure that some of you have gone out and wandered around town, coffee shops, and shopping malls looking for prospects as well huh?
Now while that task sounds a bit mundane, it’s not quite that easy otherwise everyone in network marketing would be incredibly successful and you and I both know that this is not the case. So I guess that after finding out “wandering around” was not helping his organization grow as fast as he’d hoped he decided to rethink his strategy.
So after Amway and PrePaid, David decides to get involved in a company called Agel. Agel is not quite as mainstream as a lot of other network marketing companies but it does boast the likes of Network Marketing
Superstars like Randy Gage and Eric Worre.
So what happened to David in Agel was actually very interesting. When he got involved he in Agel he mentions that he’d started to approach his list a little bit differently, he also says that he started to wander around a little bit differently as well.
He ended up recruiting is Karate instructor Mr.Scott in his home state of Alaska at that time. The funny thing that David realized after recruiting Mr.Scott was that Mr.Scott had a lot of influence with others. While David struggled to recruit maybe 5 people out of 100, Mr.Scott had his first meeting and invited 20 people there, out of the 20 people he’d invited to his meeting 19 of them decided to join.
To make a long story short, in under a month Mr.Scott had well over 100 people in his organization and David Wood’s dream of becoming successful in network marketing was starting to come to fruition. Dave went on to build an organization well over 1000 people in Agel before deciding to move on.
After Agel according to David he says that he ended up sleeping in a car before getting involved with Attracting Marketing. While I am still a bit skeptical as to whether he really ever had it that bad, the results simply do not lie when it comes to the level of success he attained in such a short period of time utilizing the fundamentals of attraction marketing.
Dave refers to attraction marketing as a relationship building business. A relationship business is totally different from a network marketing business. He mentioned that a relationship business consists of building a list, selling things to that list, and building trust. Then and only then can a person divert those persons from that list over to a network marketing opportunity.
Within 4 months of getting involved in attraction marketing David Wood went from sleeping in his car to purchasing a beachfront home in Costa Rica! The momentum that David created in his business was primarily from Article Marketing.
Article Marketing is said to be one of the most powerful and FREE marketing strategies on the internet. When you learn how to syndicate your content and spread it around the internet you can notice an extreme surge in traffic to your opportunity.
David Wood is definitely a rising star within the internet world and he provides tons of value for his readers over at his blog WorkWithDavidWood.com – I personally vouch for David and his techniques because I have used many of them successfully myself.
After David’s last MLM iLearningGlobal decided to shut down the network marketing arm of their opportunity, Dave was forced to make a decision immediately. Within a matter of minutes David was in contact with some of the top leaders in Numis Network and actually put in over 60 reps in less than 12 hours.
In closing, while David Wood’s story is no doubt intriguing, he is actually no different than anyone else. The thing that sets Dave Wood apart from the typical online marketer is his tenacious work ethic and desire to accomplish his goals.
Anyone wanting to achieve success like he has would want to definitely analyze your work ethic and find what you can do to get more done in a shorter period of time.
