If you’re a hardcore marketer then you’ve probably used Voice Broadcasting at some point.

Back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s Voice Broadcasting was BOOMING!!! I mean it was so big that people were spending like $1000 a week and making $50,000+ a month in profits. Some were even doing 6 figures a month.

But that’s all in the past now… and while some stubborn marketers are still using Voice Broadcasting, the FTC is cracking heads like never before.

There are literally hundreds of law firms out there contacting people just to see if they’ve received unwanted broadcasts. And they’re handing out some pretty hefty fines for violators, most of them starting around $1500 per fine.

Voice Broadcasting

What Happened to Voice Broadcasting?

Now in my opinion, Voice Broadcasting was never really all that bad. I mean if I got a broadcast and I didn’t want to hear it, I just hung up… problem solved.

But some people get their jollies off from complaining about any and everything. Also, some people abused the service by sending people messages multiple times per day, failing to give them an option to opt out of receiving broadcasts, and other abusive stuff.

Nowadays sending a voice broadcast for a small business owner is virtually illegal.

There are others like politicians, schools, and medical offices who still use the software to contact people but they generally are using it as a contact tool – not trying to sell anything.

What Will Replace Voice Broadcasting?

SMS texting platforms have been gaining popularity since the decline of Voice Broadcasting. Also Ringless Voicemail Marketing has also gained popularity. Both of them are fairly inexpensive, but nothing has ever been as inexpensive as voice broadcasting at less than $0.01 per call.

Ringless Voicemail typically ranges from about $0.025 to $0.035 cents per successful drop, which is not bad. (That’s 2.5 – 3.5 cents).

What is Ringless Voicemail?

In case you’re not familiar with Ringless Voicemail it works something like this:

You purchase a Ringless Voicemail platform and load it up with dial time, (similar to Voice Broadcasting) then you create a recorded message and upload your contact list into the software.

Once you’ve created your recording (that goes directly to their voicemail) and uploaded your contact list, all you have to do is start the software.

After the software has started, all of the contacts you’ve uploaded will begin to receive voicemails directly to their cell phones.

They call it Ringless Voicemail because the software bypasses your cell phones ringtone and drops the message directly into their voicemail inbox. This is why some people call them “ringless voice drops.”

SMS Text Broadcasting

As of right now the FTC isn’t cracking down as hard on text blasting like they are on Voice Broadcasting. However, sending mass text messages without permission is also illegal.

There are several services out there that I’ve used out there, but this is one of my favorites. Not only does it send text messages but also Ringless Voicemail drops all in the same platform.

Again, if you decide to use SMS as a marketing strategy then you have to do it intelligently, and you have to make sure that you don’t get yourself into any trouble.

Alternative Methods of Marketing

If you were an avid user of Voice Broadcasting don’t think that there aren’t other ways to market your business successfully.

Social Media should definitely be one of the methods in your marketing bag. Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, LinkedIn, and more. Then you have classified ads, banner advertising, solo ads, pay per click, forum marketing, etc.

And simple word of mouth works as well. At the end of the day it’s all about exposing people to your opportunity. The means by which you do so are not as important as actually doing the daily exposures.

There are also lead vendors out there for you to purchase opportunity seeker leads. This is my favorite source.

I almost forgot to mention facebook auto posting. Most people who use auto posting software use it the wrong way and don’t get results. But when used properly a facebook auto poster can be an invaluable tool in your marketing arsenal.

Final Thoughts…

Even though Voice Broadcasting isn’t hot like it once was, there are plenty of ways out there to build your business.

You just have to be willing to adapt with change, and if I know anything it’s this… Change is the only thing in life that ever remains the same!

Happy Marketing!
