Hey Folks,

I know it’s been a while since I wrote my last post but boy do I have a message for you. Point blank, I want to warn you of who you talk to and listen to about business. There are a few different things on my mind so lets get started before I forget one of the good ideas I’m having.

#1. Never listen to somebody who tells you about something that they themselves have never even done.

Now in regards to what I just said I have an example. Earlier today I received a call from a gentleman we’ll call Stan. Now Stan originally opted in to one of my websites for more information. I called him up and he immediately tried to sell me on his expertise in life, business, and pretty much just being completely superior to every other human being on the face of the Earth.

After several minutes of him telling me that nobody in my company makes money, the top leaders get exclusive deals and an entirely different pay plan, and that he knows all of the top income earners exclusively and that they all were paid to transfer their downlines. I never heard him once say that he himself had ever made any money in Network Marketing. He also said that internet marketing was a more secure and long-term strategy to build wealth than MLM. I told him I had to go and got off the phone.

It’s important that you don’t let people who don’t know what they are talking about persuade you to their way of thinking. It’s been done many times before to people who had rockstar potential in this industry but never got to show it because of talking to toxic people.

#2. Believing everything you read on Google – In today’s microwave society everybody seems to want everything right now. The days of delayed gratification are a thing of the past. Nowadays, if you want something you put it in the microwave. If you want a hamburger you drive down to Wendy’s or McDonalds. And if you want the answer to something you don’t know you go to Google.

Now don’t get me wrong, I have learned an incredible amount of knowledge from searching Google for different topics. However, one topic I know to be true is that you DO NOT want to search on Google in order to evaluate a business.

There are what many people know as “reverse marketers” out there who love to write garbage about a company in an effort to sway you to their opportunity instead. Don’t believe me? Just type in “George Bush is the devil” or “Elvis Presley is alive”.

Now I’d like to us to assume that you and I both know that George Bush is probably not the devil and also that Elvis is probably already dead of old age even if he was alive 20 years ago. But if you leave it up to Google… you’d be extremely gullible to believe everything you read. These two examples alone show you that Google itself is similar to a bathroom wall… being that anybody can write anything they want and get it to rank on Google no matter whether it is honest and truthful or not.

Just understand that even Wikipedia has incorrect information. Google is not a dictionary or a library, Google is simple a search engine that will find anything online that is directly related to the “keywords” that you type in the search box.

#3. Don’t take legal advice from a firefighter!

This one should be pretty self explanatory. If you were wanting to become a great golfer, would you go to Tiger Woods for lessons or would you ask Wayne Gretzsky? If you wanted to become an awesome television show host, would you ask Oprah Winfrey for advice or would you ask Michael Jordan how to do it?

This really is an issue of common sense. If you want to get advice on something you need to know where and how to perform your research. You cannot trust people who have not done what you are trying to do to give you the answer to your question with your best interest at heart.

Neither can you trust Google to be the “gospel” in terms of providing you with accurate information when you are looking to find more information about a network marketing company.

Just some food for thought.

Network Marketing Training is critical if you are considering getting involved in a network marketing company. The power of what you can create in this business is unlike anything you will ever see in a traditional job.

One reason that training is so critical is because working from home is a very emotional business. You’ll come to find in time that your network marketing business opportunity will create more illnesses, injuries, and car problems for you friends and family than anything else ever has.

Many people say that network marketing is a personal development program with a compensation plan attached, and I agree. Legitimate Home Business Ideas For Beginners

In today’s economy everybody with a pulse “wishes” that they could make more money. Then you have a select few who actually go out in pursuit of legitimate home business ideas in order to change things. There are many different work from home programs out there that anyone can get involved in that are reputable and legitimate.

The problem with most people when it comes to working from home is that they do not have the necessary discipline to get themselves to “go to work” without having someone around to make them do their job! It’s sad but true that most Americans have been conditioned for someone to give them orders in order to get a task accomplished.

For this reason alone, people cannot find the will to get off their butts and stop watching the TV and they end up quitting. The funniest thing about it is that in order to quit something you actually need to get started first. Many legitimate home businesses have been blogged about and reported to the BBB as being scams simply because the person who was involved never did ANYTHING, and then they wonder why the paychecks are running from them faster than an illegal immigrant spotted by border patrol!

One thing that needs to be emphasized is that there are a lot of work from home jobs out there. A work from home “job“ and a home based “business“ are not even close to the same thing. In a job you have no control except when you are not there. With a home based business you set your own schedule and work as much or as little as you decide.

I know that there are tons of actual legitimate home business ideas out there ranging from all different types of internet marketing ideas, affiliate marketing, and even blogging. However, I’m 110% certain that the one business opportunity that can be worked from home with the most profit potential is Network Marketing.

Home Business Ideas To Consider

There are so many different things out there for a person to choose from these days that it’s honestly become overwhelming. You really must know what you are looking for in today’s environment otherwise you may fall victim to a ‘hype business’.

Simply put, a ‘hype business’ is a home based business that offers things such as spillover, no phone calls necessary, celebrity endorsements, super modulator 3rd generation binary plans, and so on…

Now don’t get it confused, many of the best MLM companies have celebrity endorsements. Also many companies have awesome compensation plans as well. However, the thing that you should be most focused on is would you still sell this product or service if you didn’t have to do this to make money?

If the answer is not an absolute without a doubt yes… then you may need to find another company that you can believe in whole-heartedly.

My personal opinion is that if you are looking for a legitimate home business idea that you should perform your due diligence before making a decision. You also have to decide how much work you are willing to put in, because people may say that building a home based business is simple (which it is) but it is not easy!

In closing, I think that if you are looking to find something where you don’t have to do much at all that you should keep your day job. You could learn how to make money with google adsense though if you are very lazy. All you need to do is learn how to generate traffic.

However, my best advice would be to find yourself a solid network marketing company, plug into the system, and just give it everything you’ve got. Most people fail in home based businesses because they quit. If you want to be one of the success stories you know that all you’ve got to do is not quit and you’ll be in the top 10% of all people who ever get involved.

Depending upon the response to this post I may come back give more alternatives in order to find a legitimate home business. I think that this should be a good start though. Until next time…

Today while I was reading I read something that really got my attention. It said, “have you ever been most afraid of doing the thing you most want to do.” Sound familiar?

If not it should, because I’d be willing to bet that whatever you truly aspire to do with your life you probably feel some sense of fear associated with it. For the salesman it could be facing rejection, or for the singer it could be stagefright, for most people in MLM companies it’s fear of talking to people about your MLM opportunity.

When you were a kid you probably had all kinds of humongous dreams. When I was in grade school I often dreamed of being an astronaut, a professional basketball player, and even a comedian. Then as I got older the dream thieves started to come out in droves explaining to me why I could NOT do what I most wanted to do.

So while the title of this post mentions “the missing links”, I believe there are actually many more, but these are the two most important factors which will determine whether people become successful or not in their (mlm companies).

Factor #1 – Belief

It takes a strong belief in yourself and your dream to keep pushing forward when 9 out of every 10 people you come across wants to cut you down. Let’s not fail to mention that it also takes a deep belief in your company and it’s products. Would you use your company’s products if you weren’t a distributor?

Does the MLM company you’re with have good leadership? All of these things are important to strengthen your belief system. You’ll definitely need to have a strong belief system to prepare you for the “obstacles” that you will surely face. Sometimes people are just down right nasty.

They’ll laugh at you, talk behind your back, and turn their noses up as soon as they realize that what you are actually trying to do (in their minds) is leave them behind. Many people want to see you fail unknowingly, they subconsciously feel that by you showing the initiative to attempt to move forward that it will expose their inadequacies and lack of motivation to do the same.

Factor # 2 – Confidence

So the second thing that you must possess with your belief is confidence. When you have a strong belief and confidence that you will achieve your goal you will no longer be held back by the doubters, the naysayers, or the dream thieves.

Being confident and believing that it can be done will take you wherever it is that you want to go as long as you persist. So remember, the people in all of the “mlm companies” that are achieving massive success are 100% confident and they believe 100% that it is possible. You should also think the same way, and that’s regardless of whether you’re in an MLM company or if you want to be the next president. Just get started, believe, be confident, and never stop until you reach your target!

If it was up to me everybody would know about network marketing and we’d all have massive success  in our MLM Companies. Unfortunately that is not the case, besides if it was who would sell me a Baconator from Wendy’s when I felt like having some unhealthy fast food??? (Just Kidding)

Success in MLM comes primarily from one thing, and that is knowing how to market. However, this one single tip that I discussed in this video will definitely assist people in finding more success out of their respective “mlm companies”.

If you are unfamiliar with Russell Simmons he is the creator of Def Jam Records. He’s helped many famous recording artists get their start like Run DMC, LL Cool J, The Beastie Boys, and tons of other artists…

Anyway, I was reading through Russell’s book yesterday titled “Do You”. It’s a self help book and it’s full of wisdom. While I was reading I read a story that I thought was very pertinent to network marketing and I thought that you all would get some value out of it.

I found 3 tips for network marketing success that I feel are literally essential if you want to build a huge business like many of the leaders in MLM.

So let me tell you what I read…

In the nineties, Russell Simmons had a dream to start his own clothing line. He actually referred to it in the book as his vision. However, as he began to share his vision with potential partners and people who he wanted advice from he began to receive tons of negative feedback. (Sound famliar?)

Well Russell said that it was his vision and nobody could take that vision away from him so he kept at it. He eventually ended up partnering with an old friend of his by the name of Mark. As he wrote in the book he and Mark both agreed to put $50,000 a piece into this venture to get it running.

By the end of the first year Russell and Mark had lost tons of money. People had been telling him all along that it wouldn’t work but it was Russell’s vision so he refused to give up. Mark on the other hand did not share this same vision as did Russell, so Mark decided that he wanted out. (Russell bought Mark’s stake in the business “Phat Farm” back from him for $50,000)

Russell went on without Mark and stuck to his vision. After the first year he failed miserably, then the second, and then the third year. Russell lost millions of dollars in the first six years that he tried to turn a profit with his Phat Farm clothing line.

Then in the 7th year, something clicked! He actually turned a profit! Fast Forward 15 years and Russell Simmons decided to sell Phat Farm. After 6 straight years of failure, constant ridicule from family and friends, and no support from potential business partners, he sold it for a measly $114 million dollars…

Before I get into the 3 tips that I learned from this story, I want to fill you all in on one more little thing. Remember Russell’s buddy Mark? The guy who initially had a partnership in Phat Farm with Russell? Well had Mark not chickened out after 6 months and stuck with it, his $50,000 investment had he held his ground would have yielded him $30,000,000 when Russell sold the company!!

3 Network Marketing Tips I Learned From This Story

Tip #1: Perseverance is a must! – I’m not sure how well ol’ Mark is doing these days but I can tell you this… 30 million bucks off of a 50 thousand dollar investment is a GINORMOUS return! And to think that he let that slip right out of his fingers is a testimony that persistence and perseverance are an absolute must!

Tip #2: Never EVER Quit! – As you’ve seen from the story above, the only failures are the ones that quit. If you’ve been in network marketing for 9 years and you haven’t made any money yet, DON’T QUIT! If it is a part of your personal vision to be successful in network marketing then you cannot give up by any means! You have to stick with it if you want to reap the harvest! The Bible says “the harvest is plenty, but the laborers are few!” take a moment to soak that in…

Russell frequently mentioned in that chapter that the reason that so many people bailed on him was because it was his vision and not theirs. Obviously his friend Mark had bought into Russell’s vision, but I guess for Mark it just wasn’t strong enough. Had he had the faith to stick with it that vision would have paid him $29,950,000 in profit! So I will say it again… NEVER EVER QUIT!

Tip #3: Begin with the end in mind! – Simply put, when you get started on something visualize yourself getting it done. It doesn’t matter what that thing is. When you truly want to accomplish something you first off have to believe that you can do it. One way of assisting your faith is by constantly visualizing yourself into the future as if you’ve already accomplished what it is you want. In most cases for many of my readers it would be that you can go full time in your network marketing business.

Whatever your goals are no matter what the profession, when you get started on something, get started thinking about the final result. What will you do when you achieve your goal? How will it feel to have accomplished it? How will you celebrate it? Thinking of things like these will no doubt propel you much faster toward your dreams.

First off I just want to let you know that this is not a job opening… (That’s funny to me)

For those of you who are familiar… We’re going to give you a brief description of what it means to be a secret agent in MLM.

After you’ve read this if you want to get results just make sure these people know about your business:

1. Do your parents/siblings/cousins etc… know about your business?
2. Do your co-workers know about your business?
3. When you go to the grocery store do you talk to anyone about your business?
4. When you pay your bills do you put a business card in the envelope?
5. When you go to the mall do you leave drop cards
6. Do you have a window decal on your vehicle promoting your business?
7. Do you talk to people about your business on Facebook?
8. Have you given out any magazines or cd’s to promote your business?
9. Who do you spend money with? (Dry Cleaners, Doctors, Lawyers) Do they know about your business?
10. Why doesn’t anyone know about your business?

So ultimately being an MLM Secret Agent simply means that you are in business but are literally afraid to talk to people about it for fear of some negative response.

The true question is why did you join this industry????

I’m guessing you got involved so you could have more time, more freedom, more money, more vacations, more fine dining, more dates, or whatever. The most important thing to realize is that knowing exactly “why” you got involved will help motivate you on the days when you don’t want to do anything at all.

You have to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel if you intend to keep on moving forward. Without seeing the light at the end of the tunnel you will be afraid to keep taking steps forward because you won’t be able to see where it is you’re going.

So start focusing on the light at the end of the tunnel. Only YOU know why you decided to get involved in Network Marketing. Every journey begins with the first step. The only way you’ll ever realize the light at the end of the tunnel is to stop being a secret agent and start exposing people to your business and then collecting decisions.

7 Tips To A Profitable MLM Business

1. What is the most desired result you want from your marketing?

Many people never ask themselves this question at all. They simply know that they want to recruit new people into their business, or maybe they want to generate leads on their splash pages. But what is your most desired result that you are actually seeking?

So what action do you want people to take when they come across your message? Do you want them to call you, buy your product, or try your free report?

2 What benefits will buyers of your product or opportunity experience which set you apart from your competition?

Why should someone who comes across your message buy from you? Why would someone want to join your opportunity with YOU instead of with someone else who may offer the same product or service?

What people always want to know more than anything else is “What’s In It For Me”, does your offer clearly state the benefit or promise of them doing business with you instead of someone else? What are they going to gain? You should be able to list every possible benefit that you can think of that will make you and your offer stand apart from all of your competitors. Trust me when I say that in Network Marketing you will have plenty of competiton. So be sure that you stand above the rest with your offer.

People want to know the benefits, not the features, so be sure that you know how to differentiate the two. A few benefits might be more free time with their family, getting out of a dead end job, or even winning all expenses paid trips. Just remember people are looking more for a solution to their problems than they are for positive solutions.

3. Who is your target market?

Who is your message trying to reach? If you are looking to reach everyone then you need to reevaluate your strategy. Even though anyone could use your product, service, or business opportunity doesn’t mean that they will. You should target people who are already looking for what you have.

Once you know specifically who is looking for what you have to offer, you can easily develop a marketing plan that will turn out much more profitable then simply targeting a broad based group of unmotivated and questionable prospects.

The audience that you are seeking is anyone who would find a solution to the problems or needs that they might have by getting involved with your opportunity, or using your products and services.

4. What strategies will you use to reach your target market?

When it comes to marketing, many people tend to be a jack of all trades, but master of none. It’s important here that you know what specific methods you plan to use to draw viewers to your message. If you are marketing online you could choose from a ton of different marketing mediums such as:

• Article Marketing
• Craigslist (Online Classifieds)
• Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Myspace)
• Pay-Per-Click
• Banner Ads
• Video Marketing (YouTube)

It really doesn’t matter which method that you choose as much as it does that you actually focus on one thing until you master the strategy well enough to get results. Before you try 10 different tactics to achieve your end result, doesn’t it just make sense to get really good at one first?

Also understand that it is still important to know all of your available options as far as marketing your opportunity. If you don’t know of all the methods available you could very well be ignoring the method that would work best for you personally. So just study the available methods and then get laser focused on becoming a master at 2 or 3 max.

5. What do you want to be known for? What is your niche?

What is it that you want to be recognized for most? Is it the fact that your company is the only one in the industry that does what they do? Is it that you provide the best prospecting tips for signing up new reps? Can your offer solve people’s problems faster or more efficiently than your competitors?

Your brand MUST be something that’s attractive to your market. Whatever you want to be known for you want to come across and project to the prospect that you know what you are doing. You want to project to them that you are an expert!

6. What is your identity?

What do you think of when you hear the name Wal-Mart? What about when you hear the name Microsoft or Apple? Now what do you think about when you hear the name BP or Enron? Do you see what I’m saying here? When you hear Wal-Mart most people think of a low cost store where they can get “rollbacks” and find literally anything they want. When you hear Microsoft you might think instantly about one of the world’s richest men in Bill Gates. Or when you think about apple you may think about the iPhone ,iPods, or top notch computers.

What do you want people to think about when they come across you? Your identity is vitally important to your success.

7. How much are you willing to invest in marketing?

What percentage of your profits are you going to put back into your marketing efforts? If you plan on growing fast, you should be looking to put at least %30 of your profits back into your marketing. Why would you spend money on marketing one time and get results and then put half of what you put in the first time and expect even greater results?

You have to be willing to reinvest your profits into your marketing budget in order to continue growing. How much is your budget to start out? If you have very little to no money in which you can use to market your opportunity then you had better get creative when coming up with low-cost and sometimes even free marketing methods.

If you follow these 7 tips inside your business you can surely find MLM success online and be running a profitable MLM business a lot sooner than you ever thought was possible.
