Direct Pay System Review

If you’re reading this article then you obviously are either a member of Direct Pay System or you seen some type of advertisement about the program and decided to do your research so you could learn more.

I’m telling you right here and now, some of the things that I’m going to reveal in this article are not going to be good. Some people may actually try to defend the program but everything that I say here is 110% FACTUAL.

Having said that, it’s not my intention to “throw shade” on the Direct Pay System, any of its members, or the owner.

But people deserve to know what they’re getting themselves involved in. So let’s get into it, shall we?

Direct Pay System Review – 2015 Edition

Like I said a second ago, I may not be the most popular person after you’re finished reading this. Especially if you’re a member of DPS.

But is it not right that people know the actual history of the programs in which they promote??

I’m not saying that it will, but history tends to repeat itself in life. So I want to talk a little bit about MY experience in the Direct Pay System business.

Direct Pay System Review
How I Originally Got Involved

I was originally exposed to the Direct Pay System back in January 2013. At the time, the program was brand spankin’ new. It was a major player in the top ticket arena. The only real competition at the time was the Empower Network.

During this time span, the Empower Network was the hottest thing around hands down. But they started experiencing issues, which left reps looking for alternative solutions. Because of that, quite a few people made the transition over to Direct Pay System.

The first time around I did not do so well with the program. It was no fault of the program, I just really didn’t know what I was doing – even though there were a few subtle things about the program that I did not like.

When you’re hard up for money though, sometimes it’s best to just push your reservations to the side and work the program. Hell, at the end of the day…. no program is “perfect”.

Fast Forward To 2014

Around November or December of 2013, the owner of DPS, Tim Berger, announced that there were going to be changes coming to the program. One of those changes were modifications to the comp plan.

With the new modifications the program literally took off. They had an 80/20 split on the compensation plan where you get paid 80% for every sale you earned and your enroller would earn the remaining 20%.

Direct Pay System was my first true success with promoting a top tier high ticket business opportunity. I’d seen mediocre success in Empower Network, but DPS superseded those results. I was stoked!

Then The Problems Started…

One of my worst pet peeves about business opportunities is when they don’t keep the material updated. This was a MAJOR problem within DPS.

There were literally sections of the website that said “coming soon” that had been that way SINCE THE VERY FIRST DAY THE PROGRAM STARTED!

18 months into the business and there are still sections relating to training and bonuses that said “coming soon”. I couldn’t believe it.

Another big issue with the program was the sign up process.

The way the enrollment process was set up, new members could sign up and they were required to pay AFTER the sign up process. So what this resulted in was members having a lot of sign ups, but not making any money. These were called unpaid sign ups.

There was nothing worse than getting an email notification that you just had a new member join your business only to realize that they had not paid, and worse yet; had absolutely NO INTENTION of paying.

I complained about that feature being modified over and over again, but it never was.

I wound up signing up a MAJOR MARKETER
in Direct Pay System, but…

One of the marketing methods that I used to utilize was an auto-posting software on Facebook. As luck would have it, one day I attracted a MONSTER MARKETER as a result of him noticing one of my ads on Facebook.

He inboxed me and asked me a couple of questions.

Literally minutes later I had a Paypal notification notifying me that I had received $1280. I was pumped!

But…

Then he had trouble accessing his website and his back office.

I literally blew the owner Tim’s email and Skype account up every hour on the hour. It took around 3 days to get a response. The guy who had joined with me was threatening me to do a chargeback on Paypal to get his money back.

And there was absolutely nothing I could do…

Around this time my enroller and I started to have a little falling out. Because I was extremely upset, and I was complaining a lot and my enroller simply didn’t want to hear it. It wasn’t her $1280 on the line, so she didn’t care as much as I did.

Now you won’t believe this part…

Now I shit you not… It took 3 days to get a response from the owner to fix the issue, and when he did – he did something wrong!!!!

So my new guy STILL could not access his back office or promote his business.

He was eventually told to create a new account and then everything seemed to be working okay. For a little while at least…

300+ unpaid signups in 2 weeks…

So, now that my new guy has finally gotten his account issues straightened out he’s ready to promote. This guy went literally full steam ahead!!!

I was getting email notifications literally every hour!

I was beyond excited…

I thought that I was going to make a fortune in pass up sales. Especially since I earned 20% of sales ranging from $400 to $6400.

But what I soon realized was that all of these new members who were coming into the system were UNPAID SIGNUPS. They were people who were kicking tires, not serious about joining the program.

Again… I sent in support tickets and requests for the unpaid signup feature to be removed. And again I was ignored.

So this monster marketer whom I had enrolled eventually became disgruntled and decided that he was no longer going to promote Direct Pay System – would you have blamed him?

For whatever reason the program had stopped converting!

Soon after, midway through 2014 the program had literally stopped converting. Everyone, and I do mean everyone was pissed!

Members who had been making 20k per month+ were down to 2-3k per month, if that.

It was around this time that the owner announced that for the 3rd time, in less than 2 years, he was going to make changes to the program.

I could go on and on and tell you what has happened with the program.

Like how the program was changed but the owner neglected to update the webinar for AT LEAST 6-8 months (maybe longer).

So in essence, the program was promoting one thing on the pages, but the webinar was promoting a completely different thing. It was ridiculous…

All the while, there were particular marketers who were STILL allowing people to sign up.

Signing people up into a program that did not even exist!

That was the last straw for me.

It was around that time that I decided that I was no longer willing to promote the program and put my name and reputation behind it until it was up to speed.

The 2015 Update

So about a month ago I hear that the program is finally back up and running. I took a look at the page and it was really clean. I was impressed.

I talked to the owner to see if I could reinstate my account and was told that would be fine.

But in the back of my mind all of the problems that the program went through in the past makes me extremely apprehensive about putting my time and energy behind the business again.

At the moment the program seems to be going well. People are making money, and interest seems to be picking back up again.

But all I can think about is all of the BS that I had to go through while I was promoting.

I didn’t even mention EVERYTHING that happened.

All I can say, is with 4 to 5 compensation plan changes, products that never came to fruition, and an overzealous amount of neglect in regards to keeping commitments, I’m just really unsure that I want to promote the program again.

By the time the owner gets wind of this article I might not be able to promote it again even if I wanted to…lol.

Anyways, at least if you’ve made it this far now you’re fully informed.

Am I saying that DPS is a bad program – no.

Am I saying that if you decide to join that you won’t make money – no.

Am I saying that historically the program has been very wishy-washy and run with extreme unprofessionalism – ABSOLUTELY.

Will Things Turn Around?

Will things turn around and DPS winds up becoming the go-to program in the top tier business model? I have no idea.

In their defense, I can tell you that from what I’ve seen up until this point the program does seem to be better than it EVER was when I was actively promoting.

I just don’t know…

Some people will promote anything when they can make money from it.

I’m sure there’s probably not anyone who’s actively promoting the program that would be willing to come clean and tell about the background the way that I did here today, and that’s okay.

It’s just best that when you join a program whether that be Direct Pay System or anything else, that you know a little bit about the history of the program as well as the ownership.

Otherwise it could come back to bite you in the butt later down the line.
