So you’re looking to learn traffic generation secrets to help you build your business right?

I can only naturally assume that if you are looking for more traffic that you are probably an affiliate marketer, network marketer, or maybe doing Ebay or CPA advertising.

Regardless of what it is you market, it is a proven fact that if you don’t have traffic that your website is just like a needle in a haystack. With billions of websites online, if nobody can find your site you have big trouble.

With that said, today we are going to discuss traffic generation software, what is the best software to use, and also why you want to use it right away to build your business and make more money.

Do you remember the movie The Matrix? The matrix was sort of like the internet is in real life. It’s an ultra-complex system in which only a few truly understand, and even fewer comprehend how to harness its full power.

If you aren’t ‘the one‘ then you’re probably having trouble figuring out how to drive the amount of traffic to your site that will allow you to see results in building your business and your email list – at least at the speed that I know you want to!

The primary reason that you want to use tools (software) to build your business and drive massive traffic to your site is because if you don’t then you will NEVER be able to catch up with the people who do.

Most people who are not Neo-like internet phenomenons are not very comfortable with spending money on paid marketing strategies and for good reason. There are thousands of horror stories online of people who’ve tried PPC (Pay-Per-Click) ads and lost insane amounts of cash.

Therefore, most people prefer the free strategies – which ultimately require more time – and that typically requires some type of traffic generation software.

Several Ways to Generate Traffic Online

Blogging – Blogging is obviously a powerful way to generate traffic online, but you also have to keep in mind that there are a log of other things that are involved other than simply writing a blog post, posting it online, and waiting for the traffic to come rolling in… uh-uh. It doesn’t work like that.

Just remember that your blog is your central hub and that with all of the strategies that I’m going to show you, it gives you an opportunity to put a link back to your blog.

Forum Marketing – At this time, forum marketing is not as popular as it once was. I am not familiar with any type of forum posting software at the moment, but if you do a google search for it I’m sure you’ll find something.

Social Media – This is a pretty expansive arena. You have Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, YouTube, and all of the other up and coming sites out there. At some point I have seen software that you can purchase for each one of these websites. The software for these sites is typically friend adding software, but if you have more friends that’s more potential for traffic right?

The Primary Methods of Traffic Generation

At this time, from what I researched online I’ve come to find that video marketing and article marketing are the primary forms of long term traffic generation.

Many internet marketers are saying that video marketing is the undisputed champion of traffic generation hands down. Other people would die by article marketing. Regardless of which is better, my advice would be to first master one of the two. After you learn how to use one of the two options really well, then go ahead and learn how to use the other one too!

Video Marketing

Obviously the elephant in the room of the video marketing scene has and more than likely always will be YouTube. Before I get into the logistics of video marketing I want you to understand that YouTube is not the most reliable site for internet marketers in particular.

I know many people who have had their YouTube accounts shut down (myself included) without a logical explanation. So my advice to you would be that if you are going to use YouTube (which you should) to not use company names, don’t call anything a scam, and don’t show Camtasia videos of anything that you do not own personally.

My account was shut down for Copyright issues. I had an extremely popular video on how to make money with google adsense that had almost 50 thousand views and they shut down my channel without explanation. So keep that in mind.

On a lighter note… There are more video sharing sites out there than just YouTube. Some of them are actually pretty popular as well. So the trick to getting the most out of video sharing websites is to use traffic generation software of course.

The most popular software to get a massive amount of traffic is Traffic Geyser. (When you use Traffic Geyser DO NOT post to YouTube from your TG account. ALWAYS post your YouTube videos manually. They will catch you!) There is also one that you can use for free that is not quite as good but will do the job called Tube Mogul.

If you decide that you want to focus on video marketing, using either of these two programs will give you a competitive edge against anyone who is not utilizing these awesome traffic generation software tips.

Article Marketing

With article marketing, the number one website on the planet is EzineArticles. Sometimes you may find it a bit difficult to get your articles accepted to the site. Once you’ve been writing articles for awhile you shouldn’t have very much trouble getting them accepted.

***NOTE*** When using article marketing software I recommend that you do not post articles to your primary EzineArticles account using software. You do not want to compromise your primary YouTube or EzineArticles accounts. Food for thought…

The most popular software out there right now for article marketing is Article Marketing Robot hands down. If you use this the right way you can without a doubt get to the front page of Google. Article Marketing Robot is the best value since it’s only a one time fee.

There is also another one my mentor Rob Fore uses called Unique Article Wizard. There is a science to all of this that I’ll probably write about in another post in the future. My advice to you, is that if you don’t have the resources to use these programs right now, it would be wise to get your hands on this program. It’s very cost efficient, and it will also allow you to come up with unique versions of your content so you can get more content out there online fast.

How to get more traffic…. This is what any person or entity which owns a website wants to know. Today many of the old-school methods of getting traffic have died off, so now online entrepreneurs are focusing more energy on learning how to get more traffic.

When it comes to the internet, there are only two ways to build a high traffic website – #1. Invest money #2. Invest time. Most people cringe at the thought of parting with their hard-earned cash, so the only other option left is to invest their time. The catch is, that an inexperienced person has absolutely no idea how much time it takes to learn to get more traffic.

So what is one to do? That really depends on the person and what their long term goal is. Now this is a touchy subject, to many article spinning is seen as spam or deceptive. However to the top marketers, it is seen as a way to increase profits and get more traffic to your website! The following paragraph I took directly from Wikipedia.com to give you a better understanding of what article spinning is really all about.

“Article spinning is a search engine optimization technique by which blog or website owners post a unique version of relevant content on their sites. It works by rewriting existing articles, or parts of articles, and replacing elements to provide a slightly different perspective on the topic. Hopefully that helps you understand what article spinning is and what it can do for you. Obviously, the smart thing to do if you want to use article spinning as a strategy to get more traffic (which you should) is to make sure that the only content that you spin is your own unique content which you yourself have written.

Top Secret Article Marketing Software

All of the top marketers online who get ridiculous amounts of traffic have known for some time now about top secret article submission software to help them get more traffic. There are multiple software programs out there that will allow you to automate your article marketing efforts, but if you are seriously looking to dominate the search engines, this is an absolute must have! However, my advice to you which I learned from one of my mentors online are to use all three of these programs together to get the best result. Not only will you get the best result but you will get the most done in the least amount of time when you use all three programs in unison. The key to getting more traffic to your website and ranking in the search engines is…. JUST DO IT! You have to go to work. If you want to cut down a tree do you use a butcher’s knife? Or do you go and get a chainsaw?

If you understand what I just said you’ll understand why it’s so vital that you actually utilize these programs as soon as possible. If you don’t your internet marketing will be the same as trying to cut down an oak tree with a butcher’s knife. I mean after 6 months to a year it might actually come down. But why not knock it down in the shortest amount of time possible by using the “proper tools” for the job? The internet is no different… YOU MUST HAVE THE TOOLS!

What good is it to have a really low Alexa rank but you aren’t making a dime from your website? ABSOLUTELY NONE!!! People online and internet marketers get too caught up in the number of their Alexa scores but are not making any money from their sites.

Your website is not even considered to be of very much significance until it has reached the coveted 100,000 and below rank. As of this writing the rank for this site is currently 405,555 in the world according to Alexa. Now while that is okay it could be a lot better if I were not worried about going to school, taking care of a 13 month old and a 1 month old, and working a full-time job along with building a home business on the side.

The point I’m trying to make here is that your website could actually be in the top 100,000 sites viewed online and still not making you any money at all. If that’s the case shame on you… because there are many different things that you could be doing in order to help monetize some of the traffic that you’re getting to your website or blog.

1. Do you have an autoresponder? – If you don’t have an autoresponder then you are missing out on all the people who visit your site and have a genuine interest in what it is that you have to offer. If they happen to forget the name of your website then that is one potential client, business partner, or product buyer that just went down the drain. I personally use AWeber as my autoresponder and I really like it a lot. There are lots of other autoresponders out there that you can use but pretty much everyone will tell you that AWeber is the best.

2. Do you use Google AdSense? – Google AdSense is an advertising program that you can join for free and actually get paid each time anyone clicks on your ad. Most people who are not techies online are not familiar with this program but it is a really cool way to make some additional income if you know how to generate traffic to your website.

3. Affiliate Programs – Affiliate programs are another way to make some decent money on your website. An affiliate program is nothing more than a product that someone else has created and given “affiliates” the opportunity to sell the product on their behalf and make a commission in the process of doing so. It’s really very simple and probably what most new internet marketers get started with when learning how to make money online. Two of the best affiliate programs are Clickbank and Commission Junction (Google Them)

4. Network Marketing – Network Marketing is another attractive way to make money online. Traditionally network marketing was always a belly to belly or face to face business. However with the advancements in technology the internet is becoming a new way of finding potential business partners to join you in your network marketing business. While I personally believe that the old way of network marketing such as the PBR or private business reception in your home is the easiest way to duplicate your success, the internet is definitely a good way to make the initial contact with your potential business partners.

These four things that I just mentioned above should help you to get well on your way to better monetizing your blog or website. Just remember that your Alexa ranking is nowhere as important as your credit ranking and your bank account!

Okay people…

These strategies are straight from the list builder 4.0 webinar that I just got done watching. This webinar lasted for 2 hours and 45 minutes and I stayed on faithfully until the end!

So obviously the information on the webinar must have been valuable in order for me to spend nearly 3 hours listening to it while the Lakers were busy destroying the Boston Celtics in game 6 of the NBA Finals…(Sorry Beantowners!)

Well anyway, I wanted to share with you all the top ten ways to generate traffic. So here they go:

1. Search Engine Traffic – This is obviously the most coveted way of driving traffic to your websites because it is absolutely free. Pretty much everybody online searches for what they want to find on Google, Yahoo, and Bing. So what if you could get to the top spot on all 3 of those search engines? What would that do for your business?

2. Article Marketing – This too is another free method of generating traffic online. Many people say that this is the oldest and still to this day the most effective means of driving targeted traffic to your website. Article marketing is one of my favorite strategies for driving visitors to my sites. However, if you are someone who does not like to write or do not have very good grammar you may want to (outsource) pay someone else to do this for you.

3. Video Marketing – According to many of the top marketers online, video marketing is one of the best ways to get traffic. Many people are afraid of being on camera which ultimately leaves video marketing wide open for anyone who is willing to make videos consistently and target their keywords in the title.

Search engines LOVE videos… One tip for you if you plan on getting into video marketing hardcore is to make sure that you ALWAYS watermark your videos. That simply means placing the title of your video at the bottom of your video so when other people steal your video you gain some free notoriety from the additional views you get to your video. YouTube is without question the place to be since it is the 3rd most visited site on the internet at the time of this writing.

4. Social Media Marketing – Is another way to get a loyal following of visitors coming to your site.  As of today Facebook is the number 2 most visited site on the internet. So obviously YouTube and Facebook are two of the best places to go and find people to visit your site… (Click the following links to follow me on YouTube and Facebook)

Many people underestimate the power of Twitter, but it too is one of the top social media sites. Feel free to follow me on Twitter as well! Social Media is extremely popular and has been growing fast so this is something to keep in mind. Just don’t spam other people’s profiles whatever you do!

5. Viral Marketing – Viral Marketing uses the same concept as how a virus is spread… It’s basically a form of referral marketing at its best. One simple way to go about it is by simply asking people to pass on your information. An example of this would be the retweet button you see at the top of this post as well and the “sharing is sexy” area at the bottom of this post.

Another simple way to go viral is to create some type of free report that offers “exclusive giveaway rights” to everyone who gets it. Then you simple link back to your website from the report so now you will have even more traffic pointed your way!

6. Pay-Per-Click Marketing – Without a doubt PPC is the quickest way to drive traffic to your website. Although it’s important to understand that with pay-per-click you can easily lose your shirt overnight if you do not adhere to the rules and regulations of PPC Marketing. It is extremely easy to LOSE money with PPC, so it is best to have a nice sized budget and to also expect to wait 3 to 6 months before getting a return on your investment if any.

7. Ezines/Website Advertising – This is a method where you could easily pay someone who has already built a large subscriber base to send out a message to their list of subscribers on your behalf. You simply pay the list owner or list broker a fee and they will send your message out to thousands, tens of thousands, or maybe even hundreds of thousands of people who have subscribed to their newsletter.

Website advertising is pretty much the same. You simply find yourself a website owner who’s site is generating a significant amount of traffic and then you pay them for the placement of some sort of ad on their site. Many website owners would gladly accept your offer if the price is right. (Remember that if you do get an ad placed on another person’s website to always shoot to have your ad placed on the top of the website since that is where you will get the best conversions.)

8. Offline Marketing – In the eyes of an internet marketer this is probably the least effective method of driving traffic to your sites. However many of us forget that the internet is still actually very new and that prior to the internet offline marketing was all anyone had!

Direct mail, print advertising, radio, and TV are all methods of offline marketing. Placing ads in reputable newspapers and magazine are a little costly but have proven to be effective with the proper sales copy.

9. Joint Ventures – This is a powerful form of leveraged traffic. The most common JV is an ad swap/cross promotion. This is where 2 people agree to share information with each others contacts, a very simple way to help each other at the same time.  This subject can be a little lengthy so if you’d like to learn more about joint ventures go over to Google and type in joint ventures.

10. Email Your List – The number one way to drive traffic, generate leads, and make more money is to email your list. Always remember the power is in the list and you should always be list building. If you don’t have a list, that’s what steps 1-9 were for. So if you want to get to the money in internet marketing get out there and start building your list.
