Stop for a minute and think about how much money you made in 2016.
Now stop again and think about how it would feel to make 10 times that much in 2017.
Do you even believe that’s possible?
It is with The 10X Rule.
The 10X Rule – How to Bring it to Fruition
The 10X Rule is a book I read in 2015 by Grant Cardone. It’s a great read and I highly recommend it.
But I’m not here to promote Grant Cardone, but to promote the principles found within its pages.
First off, if you want to use the 10X principle it means you’ll have to bust your ass, no matter what you want to achieve. Especially when it comes to money. Which will be the primary focus of this discussion today.
Can I Really 10X My Finances?
If you don’t believe you can increase your finances 10 fold it’s because you have the wrong mindset.
Ask yourself this question, “are there people who have 10 times as much money as I do?”
The answer is simple: Hell Yeah!
Now, before you can get on the path to 10Xing your own income, think for a minute. What are they doing differently than I am?
The 10X Rule – Profits Are Better Than Wages
The great Jim Rohn had a phrase that he made popular, “Profits are Better Than Wages”.
So what does that really mean?
Simply put, wages will make you a living. But profits, will make you a fortune!
If you made $30,000 on your job in 2016 don’t bank on making $300,000 in 2017 – (not from your job at least).
One of the Biggest Problems in the Workforce
The biggest problem with the workforce is that it was developed to create dependency.
In the United States the workforce was never intended to allow one to live “the American Dream”. It’s just not.
When you work for someone else the people that are above you in the corporate pyramid want nothing more than to keep you down where you are.
And rightfully so, I mean it’s their job that’s on the line whenever one of their subordinates decide to take the initiative to work their way up the corporate ladder.
So what exactly can you do to learn how to make extra money for yourself away from your J-O-B?
The first thing you need to do is understand the cashflow quadrant. The Cashflow Quadrant is a book written by Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad.
The quadrant looks something like this:
Business Owners > Employees
As seen in the diagram, business owners and investors are greater than employees.
So why aren’t more people business owners or investors? My personal opinion is because becoming an entrepreneur requires a certain degree of risk.
Trading time for dollars requires no risk. You simply show up for work and know that you are guaranteed a check on Friday – even if it’s not enough for you to live comfortably on.
It has a level of certainty involved which allows people to conform to undervaluing themselves.
Why I Recommend Home Based Business
Understand that on the quadrant there’s self employed and there’s also business owner. I think that sometimes people confuse the two.
When you operate a home based business you are in essence “self employed”, but you are also a business owner. You’re an independent representative for a larger conglomerate, but you still own your own business – you just lack total control.
Now if you were to open up your own Hot Dog stand for example you would be considered self employed. Although, you’d have zero leverage to scale your business unless you bought more stands and hired people to operate them.
Now in the event you were to say join a network marketing business. You’d have leverage now because you get paid not only on your own production, but also on the efforts of those who’ve joined your organization.
This has the potential to grow into the hundreds and even thousands of people with whom you will earn a small percentage of their efforts.
If you want to give yourself a fair shot at implementing the 10X Rule in your life for 2017 and beyond I recommend enrolling in a top tier business that has an automated marketing system.
This way, your business is working for you 24/7/365 whether you’re on vacation, spending “quality time” with your significant other, or just catching a few Z’s.
